Torbay Lifeboat Week:

We are glad to announce that Torbay Lifeboat Week, which took part place the week commencing 18th July was a huge success. Thousands of visitors and residents gathered in Brixham throughout the week to enjoy the series of events such as the aerobatic display by the Breitling Biplane Team and the parachute spectacular from the Royal Navy Team. Along with the most visually impressive events, there was also plenty to entertain young and old alike from a folk music night, an angling competition, a five aside football tournament and barbecue parties.

The Berry Head House also took part entering an all girls team into the raft race on Wednesday 21st July at 5.30 pm. They were against 8 other teams of men such as the coastguards and Brixham Sea Anglers. Although they didn't win they did extremely well with spectators commenting on how well they built their raft.

The aim of the week was to raise funds for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institute) and raise awareness of the lifesaving job the crews do.

We would like to say well done to everyone that took part

and thank you to those who supported the week.

Later in the Summer Dartmouth Regatta and Torbay Regatta are always a good time to visit the area, the Red Arrows and Fireworks are a must see.
